What we hold
Your account is your name, email address and password, held in our own sign-in service. When you connect a library we store the credentials for it encrypted at rest, and a mirror of the references and full text you have asked Pangur to work with. Files you upload — PDFs, archive photographs, exhibition media — are stored on our own servers.
What we send where
When you put a question to your library, ask for an analysis, or have a manuscript leaf read, the relevant passages or images go to the language-model provider serving that feature, and to no other purpose. Providers change as models do; the current list is in the documentation. We do not train models on your library and we do not permit providers to.
Transactional email (waitlist confirmations, password resets) goes out through Resend. If you join the waitlist we add your address to our own announcements list; every message carries an unsubscribe link.
What we never do
We do not sell your data, run advertising, or share your library with anyone you have not authorised. Assistants you connect can add to your library and never delete from it. Connections you authorise can be revoked at any time from settings.

Your rights
You can export your data or ask for your account and everything in it to be deleted by writing to us from the contact page. We answer within thirty days, and usually much sooner.
